Amrita Rao’s got the Madhuri Dixit Apeal

A lot seems to be in common between the Super star of yesterday Madhuri Dixit and the Super Star of today Amrita Rao.

Be it the famous “Million Dollar Simile” Expressive Eyes, Dancing Skills or M.F.Hussain as a Fan. Hussain chose Amrita Rao as his Muse and theme for his Painting Exhibitions after Madhuri.

Like Madhuri, Amrita Rao also had her share of a Block Buster Hit Movie “Vivah” with Sooraj Barjatiya.

When famous dance choreographer Saroj Khan first met Amrita she told her that she gets reminded of Madhuri Dixit.

During “Main Hoon Naa” the King of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan also was heard telling Amrita that she had the potential of being the next Madhuri.

Director Inder Kumar also felt Amrita’s resemblance to Madhuri during the shoot of “Masti”

What does Amrita have to say about all this comparison to Madhuri Dixit?

“It’s a huge honor that people compare me with someone who is the best, but there can never be another Madhuri, she is a Legend.” says Amrita.

Incidentally Madhuri Dixit had similar things to say when she was being compared to the Legendary Madhubala.

Amrita Rao meets Madhuri Dxit

Folks in the Film Industry were very often heard saying “Amrita Rao is the next Madhuri”. Amrita Rao’s Persona and Acting Potential was time and again being compared to the Diva of Indian Cinema Madhuri Dixit.

It was the first time the two Stars met in person on the occasion of Bombay Times Party in Dec 2007. Madhuri was dressed in a traditional Golden Sari flashing her million dollar smile, and Amrita was looking stunning in a black n white dress with leopard print.

They both were full of mutual admiration for each other and as on lookers seemed mesmerized; Madhuri was overheard saying to Amrita “I loved your Filmfare Performance”

Incidentally Amrita Rao’s Filmfare Performance was immensely loved by all those watched it on and off-screen. She performed the 1950’s Act a tribute to the Yesteryears that started with a Madhubala getup in Mughal-e-Azam with “Pyar kiya toh darna kya” which was followed by her Black n White Classic number “Babuji Dheere chalna”.

Amrita Rao was also seen in Madhuri Dixit’s Private Screening of her latest film “Aaja Nachle” which was mostly attended by Madhuri’s relatives and close friends.
